Pfizer Italia

Alzheimer’s Disease Observatory The importance of early diagnosis of the Alzheimer’s Disease and the need to be able to recognise its initial symptoms as soon as possible led the Pfizer Group – which has been doing hard work in this area of research for years – to establish a public awareness campaign for this disease considered incurable. The Alzheimer’s Disease Observatory was presented to Italian journalists during the Symposium entitled “Alzheimer Disease: Help for the Patient and Caregiver”, organised by the American Medical Association. This appointment was followed by others that invited the press to make a more important contribution in promoting greater public awareness of this pathology. The Alzheimer’s Disease Observatory gave way to numerous other activities: the publication of a pamphlet containing useful information and practical solutions for caregivers; support for the Alzheimer’s Disease Toll-free Number; a survey entitled “The level of awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease”, and other useful communication activities for the better recognition of the disease and the creation of greater awareness of its initial symptoms.
